La Posada 2025 Award for Best Project in Palencia
Bodegas Remigio Salas Jalón has been honored at the 13th edition of the La Posada 2025 Awards with the Tourism Initiative of the Year award in the province of Palencia. This recognition highlights the work done to open the winery to visitors, promote activities linked to the wine-making heritage of Dueñas, and raise awareness of a legacy that has been kept alive since the mid-18th century under the current management of Amada de Salas, the fifth generation of the family.
In addition to this recognition, the winery has been accumulating significant awards thanks to the quality of its wines. In recent years, several wines from the Las Luceras range have received top-level awards. These include Grand Gold medals, Zarcillo de Oro awards, and prizes in national and international competitions, including the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the Certamen de los Zarcillo, and the Virtus Awards, where different vintages stood out in both rosé and red wines.
These results are backed by an exceptional wine-growing heritage: 87 hectares of vineyards, many of which were planted over a century ago. The combination of these old vineyards, the historic underground cellar, and a strong connection to the land underpins the house style and explains the high regard in which its wines are held both within and outside the region.
The awarding of the La Posada 2025 Prize thus adds to a track record marked by consistency, quality, and the defense of a way of making wine closely linked to the identity of Dueñas and the Cigales DO.
